GFSS Storytelling: Kayla (by Cordelia)

For my interview representing Grand Forks Secondary School and how it influenced individuals, I chose to do my interview from Kayla’s point of view. One reason I chose to interview Kayla is, she started going to school in the high school in grade 8, and then went and started homeschooling, and then in grade 11 came back. Another reason I chose to do my interview on Kayla is she is one of my best friends, who I have known for quite some time now, and I just want to see where this interview will go and find out more behind her experience at GFSS.

GFSS Storytelling: Ms. Small (by Mila)

The main reason why I chose Ms. Small is because I am interested in what she does and think that it is absolutely amazing. I have always looked up to those that work in special education and find importance in starting a conversation about it, especially because it can be an uncomfortable conversation to have for some people. I for one do not think people should be too scared to ask questions, as long as they are respectful. People seem to avoid opening up to the idea of learning more about people who live with disabilities, but it is super important to do so.

GFSS Storytelling: Bella H (by Anykka)

For my storytelling project, I chose to interview my grand friend Isabella. Me and her have known eachother since we were in the womb. Together we have gone to church, school, and through similar life events. Now after we have grown apart and connected again, I realized that there were many years that we didn’t talk to each other. Therefore, I found that this was a great opportunity to ask questions I have never thought about before.

GFSS Storytelling: Mr. Reimer (by Elliott)

I picked Mr. Reimer for the storytelling assignment for a variety of reasons. One such reason is that he did not grow up going to GFSS, so his experience will be entirely as a teacher, so that may give an interesting perspective. He was also one of the teachers I took an immediate liking to, so I felt I’ll probably be more comfortable talking to him rather than talking to someone else.
